Eisenhorn (A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus) Dan Abnett
Publisher:

Eisenhorn is a trilogy of novels by Dan Abnett set in the Warhammer 40000 universe, following the adventures of Inquisitor Eisenhorn and his retinue as they combat the enemies of the Imperium of Man. As far as Eisenhorn goes, it's one of the better sci-fi novels I've ever read, forget that it's WH 40k, forget that it's derivative fiction. It was a nice re-introduction into this world. In my case, I'd love to reread Dan Abnett's amazing work for that brand, including Eisenhorn, Ravenor, and the Gaunt's Ghosts novels–but I own them in omnibus print editions. I have recently been quite enjoying the Warhammer 40000 omnibus 'Eisenhorn'. Throughout the books, Eisenhorn finds himself having to use increasingly desperate and There are also two short stories available, both of which can be found in the doorstopping omnibus edition. The thing I have always liked about the Warhammer 40000 universe is its very interesting backstory and its huge scope. (Just discovered 'Hereticus' came out a decade ago. The hook occurred with the first sentences of Ian Watson's magisterial trilogy The What makes Eisenhorn different from the usual Black Library volume is it spends most of the time amongst the ordinary and everyday in the grim 41st millennium. David and I have both had a hankering for Warhammer 40K inspired fiction of late. Wherever they go, and whatever dangers they face, they will .. I was heavily into 40K as a teenager and read Abnett's Eisenhorn books when they first came out. I preserved my sanity by rediscovering Warhammer 40K, this time in the omnibus editions of the Black Library novels I found in the local Barnes & Noble. The three stories in this omnibus tell the tale of Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor and his lethal band of operatives, whose investigations take them from the heart of the Scarus Sector to the wildest regions of space beyond, and even through time itself. Those bastards are just north of phone book sized.
